Locking attachments

Hi,
Ran into a problem recently reported by one of our clients and we were able to reproduce in our environment I guess I'm passing on. Files attached to e-mails we are sending using SRPMAIL 3.0.1.2 64 bit from OI 10.2.1 and 10.2.2 systems are locked by the e-mail sending process. They cannot be deleted, moved, or renamed after being attached to an e-mail until the oinsight that used SRPSendMail shuts down.

I don't think of this as a high priority issue and not sure if it is only happening in our environment, but thought I should let you guys know that it happened to us. We just changed our process so what we attach will never need to be moved, renamed, or deleted after being sent until after the oinsight sending it has been shut down.

    Thanks for the note on this. We'll take a look. This is the first time I've been made aware of our mail utility locking attachments. Normally, customers would start using our product because prior versions of the OI-based mail utilities had this exact problem. So I'm a bit surprised.

    Download 3.0.3.3 here and give it a try.

    I got around to testing with 3.0.3.3 and it solves the locking issue we were experiencing. Thanks so much for the fast response!

    Glad you see it that way. The truth is that we've had 3.0.3.3 in our possession for a while. It was never publicly released for reasons only a younger and more irresponsible me knows. At any rate, it's on our products website now so people can, you know, actually use the fixes we implement. :)
