when i format the above nicely, so that the pipe symbol matches beautifully
and then format my code -

PLEASE do not touch my pipe handy work

can we have this as an enhancement per-chance??

I like this idea. I added it to my issue tracker so I can devote some time to it at some point. It's not a trivial addition as I have to account for the possibility that the lines all have to be indented together while still retaining the format. For example, if you wrapped your sample Gosub line within an IF statement, then the formatter would want to push the GoSub line to the right one indent while still preserving spacing.

It's doable, but it's not something I can add in ten minutes.
