OI Basic+ Routine Output

When using a routine in OI Basic+, such as List_Index(TableName), how can I capture the output? I noticed that the SRP Editor and the System Monitor both are able to show the output in their status windows, but I can't figure out how to capture and assign the data that is produced by the routine to a variable.
