NULL value into column "%1%". -

Trying to modify a script associated with a menu item on a form. When saving the script, or checking the syntax I get this error "NULL value into column "%1%". - "

It only does this after I edit the script.

Any ideas?

    No, I can't recall seeing that. Have you resolved the issue yet? I saw that you posted this on the Revelation forum but it does not look like anybody replied there yet.

    No, no resolution. I tried saving the form to a different temp form and then saving back to original form. Same error, try to modify script and save, same error.

    Not sure what to try next.

    I would delete the script completely (not just remove your code) and see if the form compiles. If it doesn't, then the problem is likely elsewhere.

    That error seems to be related to the form rather than your actual script event.

    I can save the form prior to editing the script. If I remove the script, i compiles. If I paste the code back in it fails. So it's something in this code.

    Then that helps to narrow things down. Just add code back in sections and keep compiling until it raises that error again

    The following code would not compile in an event script, event was a menu event. Moved to subroutine which fixed it.

    End

    I have never been a big fan of event scripts anyway so I think you located the code in a better home...but did you try to narrow down the problematic code?

    I think it might have something to do with the repository call.

    I also had to change List_User_Subs() to List_User_Subroutines(), that might also play a role.

    IMHO the compiler for event did not like NULL being a vnav
